If you haven't heard yet, the Terminator franchise is getting a much-needed reboot, à la Batman Begins. And who else but Mr. Bruce Wayne himself to lead that rebirth, as Christian Bale was the first to be cast, as main character John Connor, in a new planned trilogy that begins with Terminator Salvation. Unlike the first three Terminator movies, Arnold Schwarzenegger won't be around this time, although a cameo is still in the talks.

The first two Terminator movies were a huge part of my childhood, and this looks and feels nothing like them. And that's a good thing. The movie is directed by McG (Charlie's Angels, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle and We Are Marshall, as well as TV show Fastlane), and is scheduled to come out on May 22nd 2009.
