[Game] Beautiful 'Prince of Persia' Trailer
Above is the E3 trailer for the next installment in the Prince of Persia franchise, being developed by Ubisoft Montreal (represent!). It's scheduled to be released in late 2008 (read: holiday season) not only for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but also for Windows! This game is not a follow-up or a prequel, but rather a new chapter in the PoP universe, introducing a new Prince, as well as a new cel-shaded/hand-drawn art style. As for the video, it oozes serenity and gravitas, and is really just my kind of trailer.
This is the trailer that Capcom unveiled at E3 for their next masterpiece. This game looks like it's going to be so polished, it's unbelievable. I'm really glad that the RE series took a sharp turn with the fourth installment, which is in my opinion one of the best games to have come out in the last 5 years. For those of you who weren't aware, RE 5 will be set in Africa, which is a first for the series. The game is set to come out on Xbox 360 and PS3.
How do you feel about the trailer?
How is that for bitchslap to the face (for Sony/PS3 fanboys)? During the Microsoft E3 2008 press conference, Square Enix president Yoichi Wada took the stage to announce that Final Fantasy XIII would be coming to... the Xbox 360! The game will release simultaneously in Europe and North America with the PS3 version, which takes away any sort of exclusivity to the title for the Sony camp.
Now although I'm glad, because I will be able to play it on my 360, I find it mindbottling (yes, mindbottling) that Sony would allow such an key title to slip away like that into the hands of the competition. I'm actually amazed that Metal Gear Solid 4 ended up being exclusive, and then again, who knows if there isn't a port being worked on for the Xbox 360 awaiting to be announced. All I know is that it's not looking too good for Sony...
Here some interesting news. It's been announced for a couple of weeks now, but I still wanted to post it up because I think it's pretty cool. Imagine the next installment of the Mortal Kombat, and th first one for the current console generation. Now imagine the above, but throw in Batman, Superman, The Flash, Catwoman, and a bunch of other superheroes from the DC Universe. I expect it to be a decent mash-up, and in my opinion, it works better than Yoda and Darth Vader in Soulcalibur IV.
Looks like some kick-ass fun time.
Curtis 'Fiddy' Jackson and the G-Unit crew (sans Young Buck) are back for another round in 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand for the Xbox 306 and Playstation 3 and the trailer sets them somewhere in the Middle-East. While the first installment, 50 Cent: Bulletproof, was rejected by both critics and the hardcore mass with an average score of 52%, it still managed to sell over a million copies. Mind bottling.
